Club President and Gents President, Brian Airlie and Lady President Maureen Cameron thank all members for giving them these honours for season 2009 - 2010. It is an honour for both to be the respective Presidents in a year when the club were bestowed the honour of hosting the Semi Finals and Finals of the National Singles, Junior Singles and Two-Bowl Pairs.
On behalf of the members we would like to congratulate our Ladies Triples of Lynsey Airlie, Angela Boyle and Helen Mason on reaching the Area Final of the National Championships where they unfortunately lost to the Midlothian triple of Jeanette Conlan, Agnes Melrose and Sandra McLeish. It was a great achievement to get that far and there is aways next year.
Also on behalf of the members we would like to congratulate the Ladies Inter Club Team who won their Inter Club League and now progress to the play-offs..
Gents President Brian Airlie would like to thank all the Gents members who have contributed to the Gents retaining their place in Division 1 for next year and to all the Seniors who after a very bad start to their league campaign came back strong and got respectability back into their results. Hopefully both teams can build on this years league performances and gain success in their respective Scottish Cups and next years leagues.
The club are proud to announce that they are continuing the Schools Project that commenced last year and would like to thank all the coaches that assist in the running of the project.
The West of Scotland also hope every bowler in Scotland and throughout the world continues to enjoy the game and make every effort possible to encourage new people to the game.
